Intel CEO Says Open To Manufacturer AMD Chips At Their Fabs

I guess Pat Gelsinger has made up his mind that Intel is going to be split into two independent companies, one fabless product company and one foundry business.

Until the split happened, Pat Gelsinger is making a promise to the world that the best IDM, Intel, can also be the best foundry partner for other fabless companies. To begin with, this was/is a very difficult and unrealistic position that actually helped the pure play foundry business model started 35 years ago.

Good interview. It’s good to see Pat still swinging. The next Intel conference call should be interesting/humbling.
