INTC, AAPL, ADBE and GOOG to pay $415M fine

Collusion between these four companies to not hire each other's employees is illegal, and that's how the judge ruled today.

Full press release.

These companies are so huge that this payment won't affect their stock earnings, just their moral position is a bit weakened.

Free markets are for small companies. Big companies like these get big by building moats around their competitive advantages and defending these moats. If you're not being sued for something, you're probably not maximizing shareholder value.

benb,

That's an accurate assessment, and is why the big companies often get cited for being monopolistic, anti-competitive and paying more fines
