Huawei sends message of needing to stabilize 7nm, shifts emphasis away from process advances

(from https://wccftech.com/huawei-executive-says-company-wants-to-fix-7nm-issues/)

In the referred video, Huawei executive Zhang Ping-An sent a message implying that Huawei's chip supply even for 7nm needed to be settled, perhaps due to yield. After referring to TSMC as the key developer of 3nm and 5nm, he emphasized that China could not obtain these technologies from TSMC (as they had done in the past with known stockpiling). He then shifted to highlight that optimization of the chip for better system performance should be the direction forward rather than process advances.
