How dangerous would a specifically weaponized AI be? What about a weaponized AI task force with each targeting different weaknesses in our different systems that control everything from money, stocks, utilities and turn social media into a potent weapon? It will happen as militaries around the world have proven adept at weaponizing almost everything since Roman times. This could be done not only by governments by private organizations and businesses for their own self-interests regardless of the damage that could be done. Also, what do readers think the timeline on these developments will be? How much havoc could an AI do with social media? I have no doubt programs in this area are already well underway, if not publicized. Also, any thoughts on dealing with these dangers?
The Brimstone missiles fits very well into "weaponised AI"
16 of them fly for 60kms, and with 2 sigma confidence destroy a target looking like a tank column to the radar of a leading missile, while using complex computations to assign detected targets.
Snapping Brimstone's computer on something bigger than a missile is trivial, and this is what British are currently doing. Instead of another Brimstone version, they want a bigger, higher flying cruise missile with 100km+ range.
