EDACafe Mistakes Cadence Inc for Cadence Design Systems

The Internet is filled with cases of mistaken identities and tonight our friends at EDACafe posted a news story about Cadence Inc selecting a new CEO, instead of Cadence Design Systems:

Anyone can make an honest mistake, however I can say that at SemiWiki we have never mistaken a medical device supplier for an EDA vendor.

Caveat Emptor - buyer beware.

That's what happens when you have people covering industries that they have never worked in. By my calculation the combined industry experience of the SemiWiki bloggers is close to 200 years. 100 of that being Paul McLellan! ;-)

I checked again this morning and EDACafe still has the erroneous Cadence, Inc. press release listed.

David Heller created EDACafe in 2001 under the company name of Internet Business Systems, and we worked together at Viewlogic in the 1990's, so he does know about EDA.

It looks like their PR scraping isn't setup correctly to find Cadence Design Systems.
