Can GPT Increase Economic Efficiency?

Most of the world is in sad shape economically, environmentally and social/politically. The largest question out there is can we implement and efficiently use AI/ML to meet our environmental, social and economic challenges. The semi world has given us not only the tools to increase economic efficiency on a scale not imagined only a few years ago, but a range of physical tools in automation, energy(especially solar), research and application of resources that has been put on steriods by AI/ML. The question is will chaos reign or will use these tools to promote peace and progress. So far the investment and cost of warfare seems to say otherwise. The ability to maximize our resources and avoid wasteful conflict will have to be part of any skill set going forward. The semi sector has given the world some fantastic tools, will our politicians and societies choose conflict and destruction over progress and prosperity? So far our politicians are failing miserably. It's past time for tech leaders to apply their skills and tools to our social structure. Social media has proved powerful and its time to apply it to the challenges before us. GPT and the advances coming to it will be critical. Any thoughts or comments appreciated.
