Ayar 400 gig Optical Chip

Ayar Labs is planning on putting 400 gig optical on the same die as the logic and memory circuits for use in data centers with a 2 kilometer range. They are planning to have a demo by the end of next year and production in 2019. It will be interesting to see if they pull this off and what changes it will make in the data centers. I wonder who will be making the chip? Any comments or observations will be appreciated.
