With increasing use of touch in automotive center stack and other in-vehicle applications, Atmel is continuing to expand solutions for this application. Their new SAM DA1 MCU combines a capacitive touch controller with a 48 MHz ARM Cortex-M0+ core in an AEC Q100 Grade 2 qualified part.
The SAM DA1 family also has up to 64kB flash, up to six serial communication interfaces, USB, and I2S. The smallest version is a 32 pin, 5x5mm QFN package. General sampling is in April, pricing was unannounced.
