Any Thoughts on Disney and the Meta world?

I was checking out patents and copyrights of special effects by Disney and Industrial Light and Magic which they purchased with Lucas Film and it looks like they may own a significant amount of technology related to the Metaverse. Disney has been working in these areas for decades and has not only many technologies, but a large library of potential entertainment material. Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.
 
Kodak was the first company to develop a digital camera. GM was the first company to build a battery EV in the 1990s. Just because Disney worked on related technologies in the past does not mean they will be successful.
 
I'm not a gamer or meta person but Disney licencing and Facebook is no small thing.
