Using AI to improve and increase both the power and speed of current AI/ML will feed on themselves as both get more access to more data from the web and from a vast increase in sensors and inputs of all types feeding ever more data for both to work with. I have no doubt there will be a race of companies to start this geometric and maybe even logarithmic rate and present many opportunities, but also create unimagined dangers. We can expect more systems to create a tidal wave on knowledge that will overwhelm even the best and the brightest with an amount of knowledge and solutions that mankind can't even imagine with as many dangers as opportunities. Any thoughts, comments or expansions on this thesis will be appreciated. Nvidia and AMD use their respective systems for their own business interests at the cutting edge. The question is whether both my be outgunned by an organization, government or company will use their systems better than both Nvidia and AMD? With great opportunities can go great dangers. Who will ultimately control the most powerful AI/ML systems? How will companies in the financial sector us this power? This reminds me a very old science fiction movie where the created a super computer and asked it if there was a god and it said you are talking to it. These are questions that need to be dealt with now, before a calamity of unknown type and origin are unleashed with unknown opportunities and dangers attached. Any thoughts, comments and additions welcome and appreciated.
