We are just in the very early stages of AI/ML automating everything, with soft applications like advanced search and working with data. The next step will be advancing automation at a level not imagined by most. This will extend from manufacturing to medical (a field desperately in need of automation to control the literally staggering and increasing costs) and numerous areas we haven't even imagined. Speeding up research promises huge returns both financially and benefit people and society at a speed and depth once considered unimaginable. The world is just in the very, very early stages of the penetration and integration of AI/ML into literally everything. This will drive tech at all levels with a breadth, depth and level of applications even now not understood how far this revolution of everything will penetrate at a speed once considered unimaginable for this tremendous type of power has never existed before. There will be many twists, turns and surprises that most haven't even imagined. TSM and other tech companies will be the initial leaders with those the apply it to the real world will be next. TSM, Nvidia and companies like Service Now will be the leaders. Those that master and learn to ride this trend will be the leaders in society, governance and finance. Any thoughts, additions and views of this trend appreciated.
The cost of defending China from invading Taiwan is nothing compared to the damage it would cause to the world economy and whether they know it or not, the Chinese economy. As has been said "War is the last refuge of the incompetent", I hope China is out to prove it.
