AI/ML and Automation Change Everything

Arthur Hanson

Well-known member
Combining AI/ML with extreme automation has the power to change the world economy by compressing the time lines of progress in just about everything while lowering costs. It is the tech companies that take their applications in these two areas that will prosper and win while making the world a better place. The cautionary part though is if not handled properly AI/ML and extreme automation can be just as destructive. Now is the time we have to make hard decisions about how to control these two great powers from being used to exploit current systems rather than create new ones that benefit the greater good than allow a much smaller group to exploit and take advantage of the people who have no control over either. It will be up to creators of these powers to create systems that put in guard rails to make sure they are used for the greater good. Their abuse could lead to physical, financial and political dangers most can't even imagine. With great power goes great responsibility and I hope the tech sector can handle it far better than the politicians of the world. Any thoughts, comments or additions welcome. I strive to put my investments in time and money where they will do the most good for the world I want to live in the this should be the prevailing goal of the leaders of the tech world that are vastly increasing in power thanks to technological advancement. Any thoughts, comments or additions sought and welcome. Creating win/win situations should be the goal.
