TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang (黃仁勳) announced Monday at Comptex that the company’s new overseas headquarters will be built in Taipei’s Beitou-Shilin area, ending months of speculation and signaling a major expansion in Taiwan.
Dubbed “Nvidia Constellation,” the new office is expected to enhance Nvidia’s operational efficiency, thanks to improved transit access and closer ties with its existing facilities, per TVBS.
While Huang did not explicitly name Beitou-Shilin Technology Park, Huang’s announcement matches earlier reports that Nvidia was eyeing buildings T17 and T18, owned by Shin Kong Life Insurance, per CNA. The Beitou-Shilin site also complements Nvidia’s R&D center in nearby Nangang.
Huang revealed that several city leaders had courted the project, but Taipei offered a compelling case, per TVBS. “I think we got some nice deals,” he quipped.
Beyond the headquarters announcement, Huang noted Nvidia’s expanding partnerships with Taiwanese giants like TSMC, Foxconn, and Quanta, reinforcing Taiwan’s position as a global AI innovation hub. He also revealed a slew of AI products, such as NVLink Fusion, which allows partners to use the company’s NVLink technology for their rack-scale architecture, per Reuters.
