Our annual Intel Foundry Direct Connect conference occurred on April 29th, and we couldn’t be more grateful to all our customers and partners who joined us to make the event a success. We were fortunate to have Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan join us for his first Direct Connect event, opening the day with insightful discussions with trusted ecosystem leaders. Chris Miller, New York Times bestselling author of the book 'Chip War,' concluded the day by offering his insights into the factors shaping the semiconductor industry, particularly in the context of today's global trade rebalancing. He then joined a panel with several customers and partners for a more interactive discussion.  We and our partners shared an incredible amount of news from start to finish, and it’s worth taking a moment to reflect on some of the highlights.

Advanced Packaging: Unlocking design freedom

Article content

Ben Bajarin, CEO and Principal Analyst of Creative Strategies, takes a look at Intel Foundry technologies presented at the Direct Connect event. Read his article as he explores how the semiconductor industry is transitioning to a disaggregated design era, focusing on modular chiplets rather than monolithic scaling. Intel Foundry is leading this shift, leveraging technologies like PowerVia and RibbonFET to enhance power delivery and transistor architecture, while EMIB and Foveros enable flexible, high performance system integration across diverse foundry products.
