Worldwide Transparent Trade rules needed, Failure is disaster for all

A system of worldwide, transparent trade rules are now needed more than ever. The random, catch can mess of current trade rules don't work for any country or companies. The tech sector now has the tools and communication structure to support a growing high-tech world we live in. Now that the Net is worldwide, fast and reliable we now have a foundation to build on that didn't exist before. It's way past time for our politicians of all countries to realize we all live on the same planet and are interconnected to a level most haven't even imagined and haven't learned to work with. Learning to use technology on a worldwide scale to its maximum benefit in everything we touch is needed as the web has made the information network real time and worldwide, something that didn't even exist just a decade ago. We are now in a worldwide economy that has made the current mess of trade rules obsolete, dangerous and expensive. Information now has no borders and is near instantaneous and the world has not adjusted to this. The net is now worldwide and without needed regulations and ground rules. It has literally become an unregulated mess of falsehoods, scammers and bad politicians that must be tamed in some form or another. Any thoughts on the best way of handling this very powerful and potentially very dangerous world of the web sought and appreciated. This forum I feel is the best place to start. With great power goes great responsibility and this has largely been forgotten. Knowledge and how it is handled is among the most important issue now before us. This not only applies to trade, but business, politics and personal responsibility. Failure is not an option.

Agreed; what we have to day is not "Free Trade"; it's a "One Way Trade" where US buys and everyone else sells; this is not what David Ricardo proposed.
