Siemens Digital Industries Automation Division is searching for a highly motivated territory sales professional with a passion for customer engagement and promoting superior solutions helping customers meet the challenges of a digital global marketplace. The Territory Account Manager will have a geography consisting of a combination of Enter, Expand, and Defend accounts and will be responsible for the achievement of the account business targets in the respective territory to include account development, business development, and revenue generation leading to market share growth. The role is intended to be self-sufficient in terms of product, technology, and solution knowledge at an executive level and 1st level engineering discussion/conversations. This role is an individual contributor role reporting to the Mid-Atlantic Territory Sales Manager, working 100% remote within the geography.
We are looking for a Territory Account Manager. This position will be based in Virginia, with preference in Richmond or Roanoke.
You’ll make an impact by:
- You will promote the entire DI Portfolio for both product and solutions – SCADA & factory automation, distributed control systems (DCS), low voltage drives, process and digitalization software suites, and digital connectivity products such as industrial networking, power supplies, and RFID/IID/RTLS. coordinate and collaborate
- You will represent Digital Industries in all sales/strategic activities and acts as interface between the customers, distributors, solution partners and Siemens.
- You will leverage the Siemens customer relationship management tool (CRM) to manage the entire sales cycle and providing accurate forecasting information on a consistent basis.
- You will build and maintain a healthy pipeline by uncovering new opportunities, following up on leads and managing the existing customer base.
- You will utilize social selling, prospecting, intent reporting, local industry event participation and networking to build new business contacts along with Siemens specific and industry tools.
- You will ensure the seamless handover to project execution and delivery teams.
- You will have the opportunity to join a strong team selling the best end to end automation solutions in the market leveraging the digital thread.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of previous experience selling technical products and solutions.
- 5+ years of professional experience overall
- BS in Engineering/related technical field or combination of related work experience.
- Proven track record of developing new business opportunities in a teaming environment.
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to identify or uncover a customer’s specific challenge, develop relevant relationships with customer’s organization, develop a strategy, propose a technical solution, and win the opportunity.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Inherent ability to self-motivate and work independently.
- Ability to both prospect/business develop and manage existing account opportunities.
- Position requires 15% overnight travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- The candidate should possess technical knowledge of factory automation, process automation, motion control, drive systems, and Industrial Ethernet networks
- Knowledge of customers and competitors within the defined territory
- Complex sales process and technology conversion experience
- 5+ years of experience selling technical products and solutions

- The pay range for this position is $88,300-$151,400. and the annual incentive target is 42% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
