Summary and Role Purpose

The Channel Account Marketing Manager works closely with Japan Field Marketing Manager to develop channel marketing strategies for key channel partners to drive the Ansys business growth in Japan. To ensure success, the Channel Account Marketing Manager works closely with key channel partners and their assigned Ansys channel partner managers to develop and execute marketing programs ensuring each plan has clear business growth goals, metrics, and definitions for success.  Will lead efforts to measure program effectiveness and identify requirements for enhancing programs. The Channel Account Marketing Manager is expected to be a thought leader and own the channel marketing space.

Key Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Develop and execute Japan key channel marketing initiatives, programs and communications to drive the 3X pipeline coverage and 15% revenue growth goals for these partners.
  • Develop, own, and nurture relationships with the marketing executives of our channel partners; act as a trusted advisor to executives in our partner channel to drive best practices and elevate the priority of marketing.
  • Develop and execute marketing plans with key partners including full budget accountability.
  • Collaborate with the channel partners and channel partner managers to gather input and better understand regional business opportunities.
  • Define marketing programs and strategic objectives for the channel (awareness, consideration and preference) and determine meaningful metrics; measure, analyze and report on the usage and impact of channel marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of strategic objectives as they relate to the channel, including marketing plan development, leveraging mixed activities that best support the strategy and budgetary requirements

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or engineering
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in successfully driving integrated Channel Sales and Marketing strategies, plans, programs and operations to drive revenue growth
  • Extensive knowledge in defining marketing strategy as it relates to channel partners and measuring marketing performance to drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal communication; written, presentation, and verbal
  • Business level written and verbal in English (TOEIC 800 or above preferable)
  • Proven track record in leading and working effectively with cross-functional teams, including the product marketing, sales, operations, and finance
  • Proven track record of success, working independently to meet project objectives and managing multiple tasks simultaneously to meet strict deadlines with minimal direction
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 6 years of combined marketing experience in the high technology B2B market preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of channel marketing experience in the high technology B2B market preferred
  • Demonstrated competencies with design, deployment, and utilization of web-enabled (in-bound) marketing software
  • Digital marketing experience such as social media marketing, SEO, webpage development, digital content development
