x86 Server & Storage Hardware Architect

Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced x86 Server and Storage Hardware Architect to design, plan, and maintain the x86 server and storage infrastructure of our data center
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Select appropriate x86 server and storage hardware components that meet the data center’s capacity, performance, and reliability requirements
 - Configure and optimize x86 servers and storage systems for performance and reliability
 - Oversee the deployment of x86 servers and storage systems, ensuring that they are installed correctly, configured optimally, and monitored for performance and reliability
 - Develop and maintain standards and procedures for x86 server and storage selection, deployment, and maintenance
 - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the x86 server and storage components meet the organization’s needs for capacity, performance, security, and reliability
 - Analyze and recommend new x86 server and storage technologies and innovations to improve the data center’s performance and reliability
 
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
 - Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in x86 server and storage hardware architecture and design in a data center environment
 - In-depth knowledge of x86 server and storage hardware components, including CPUs, memory, storage, and networking
 - Strong understanding of x86 server and storage capacity planning, configuration, deployment, and maintenance in a virtualized environment
 - Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation
 - Knowledge of relevant x86 open standards such as OCPv3
 - Excellent communication and collaboration skills
 - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automation and orchestration tools for x86 server and storage management
