For our IT team in Konstanz, we are looking for an IT specialist/ Linux Administrator. Hyperstone is a medium sized high tech company located in Konstanz, Germany. Our development teams engineer high-quality, innovative semiconductor solutions to enable our customers to produce world-class products for industrial, embedded, automotive and global data storage applications.

Swissbit is the only independent provider of storage and embedded IoT solutions for demanding applications in Europe with locations in Bonschhofen (Switzerland), Berlin, Munich as well as in the US. Your Tasks

  • Configuration and maintenance of networks and security systems
  • Administration and advancement of a Linux-Server Environment based on RedHat, CentOS and Arch Linux
  • Administration of local networks worldwide (patch management, vulnerability management etc)
  • Write scripts to increase efficiency, maintain licenses, and supporting installations of our servers
  • Set-up and continue a configuration management system
  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd level IT support across locations, tracked via ticket system
  • Configuration and administration of PC workstations, servers, switches and mobile devices
  • Support in developing and adapting of a future oriented network infrastructure (IT and OT)
  • Work across engineering teams of different disciplines
  • Implementation and participation in continuous improvement processes

Your Profile

  • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology / System Administration and IT support
  • In-depth database knowledge and validated level of programming and scripting skills
  • Deep Knowledge of Linux based High Performance Computing platforms and OS
  • Good understanding of HPC Job schedulers such as LSF or Slurm
  • Good command over scripting languages such as Python, TCL, Perl or similar
  • Understanding of source control and code migration processes and conventions
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AZURE or AWS/AZURE is a plus
  • Open minded team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
  • Travel activity 10-20%
