Overview

Pragmatic is seeking an exceptional VP Product Management to lead a world-class semiconductor Product function, ensuring product-market fit based on market demand and customer feedback. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the VP Product Management will apply their wide-ranging breadth and depth of knowledge from experience in successfully leading the Product function in the semiconductor or related industries.

Using deep technical understanding of the product lifecycle within the semiconductor industry, they will drive world-class performance across the Product team.

The role will be based in Cambridge (where our Product team is situated) with an expectation of international travel to industry events and customer meetings.

Key tasks

  • Manage Pragmatic’s growing portfolio of products including our unique FlexIC Foundry technology platform, RFID products and other emerging product areas ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a multi skilled, highly performing team, promoting professional development to ensure delivery of strategy and objectives.
  • Lead and develop the Product Management function to gather and distil customer requirements, define product specifications, financial models (including pricing and cost models) & technical roadmaps across the portfolio.
  • Play a leadership role in supporting the development of multi-year strategic business plans at a company level
  • Implement a best-in-class New Product Introduction process tailored for Pragmatic, which delivers a data driven approach to new product implementations and roadmap developments.
  • Overall accountability for product portfolio prioritisation, decision forums and related business processes that maximises business growth and return on investment.
  • Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Program Management and Finance teams to ensure that Products meet market requirements and can be delivered in line with the company objectives.
  • Support Sales by ensuring the team is providing support materials and engaging in direct customer interactions.
  • Represent Pragmatic with customers and at industry events and trade organisations

Qualifications and training

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline
  • Evidence of continued professional development (desirable)
  • Relevant Product Management certification (desirable)

Skills and experience

  • Proven experience as an established leader in a Product or Engineering related function within the semiconductor industry
  • Demonstrated track record of driving new products to market and across their lifecycle to deliver business growth
  • Strong business and financial acumen and demonstrated ability to support and develop multi-year strategic business plans at a company level.
  • Extensive experience of operating at a leadership level within semiconductor product or related industry
  • Deep understanding of the new product introduction and product lifecycle management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
  • Be able to evidence having a passion for building and empowering teams and working beyond the confines of the job description
