Sr Principal Engineer

As Sr Principal of Applications Engineering, you will be responsible for providing technical customer support for Alphawave’s full IP portfolio which includes PCIe, Ethernet, DDR and HBM. You will regularly engage with external customers and internal teams.

The role will be based in Israel, primarily supporting Israeli-based customers with occasional customers world-wide. Our office with state-of-the-art lab is located in nearby Tel Aviv.

What You’ll Do

• Provide proactive first-line customer-facing pre-silicon and post-silicon support for multiple IPs
• Provide technical pre-sales customer support for local evaluations and demonstrations for multiple IPs
• Debug designs in pre-silicon or post-silicon
• Frequent local travel (Israel) and occasional worldwide travel

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s in computer science or Electrical/Computer Engineering or Engineering Science
• Experience with one of the following specifications: PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, and/or HBM
• Experience with pre-silicon or post-silicon debug and troubleshooting
• Experience with programming in C/C++, Python, Tcl, or Perl

It’d Be Amazing If You Had

• Experience with high-speed signal integrity fundamentals and design best practices
• Experience with one or more: firmware, low-level programming, optimizing embedded C code, hardware debug
• Experience with digital design tools and methodologies related to waveform viewers, STA, and/or DFT
• Masters/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering or Engineering Science
