Sr. ATE Engineer

Primary responsibility to work on all aspects of hands-on test development, test hardware design, yield enhancements, debugging, characterization, production implementation and high-volume ramp-up of IC products. Responsible for the product test solution from product inception all the way through end of life of the product.
Main duties for this role include but are not limited to:

Interface with design groups and product engineering to ensure manufacturability of the product, including testability, yield, and quality

First silicon verification and device bring up using ATE tools and bench equipment

Develop test methods and generate/convert test vectors to support product validation, bench correlation, characterization, and production release.

Deliver qual program including Burn-In vector generation, validation, and conversion to be used at 3rd party Burn-In vendor.

Work with planning and product engineering to support customer sampling requirements

In case 3rd party IP is integrated with the product, ensure manufacturability, yield, and testability of 3rd party IP

Deliver production test program for both wafer and package level test programs

Design and develop required test hardware – Load board, bench board, and the probe card.

Manage test program transfer to overseas test-house

Maintain traceability of production test program flow

Drive ongoing cost reduction for the product (test time reduction, yield optimization)

Ensure reliable FA flow is supported to close potential test holes

Day to day management of test partner(s)
Minimum qualification for this role:
-
6-10 years of professional work experience as a test engineer in the fabless semiconductor industry, shipping volume production
-
B.Sc, M.Sc in EE preferred
-
Fluent with Teradyne or Advantest test platforms
-
Ability to independently lead the test-development efforts
-
Experience with ATPG and SCAN/MBIST bring-up, validation, and debug on ATE tester
-
Technical skills in evaluating/debugging digital and analog/mixed-signal circuits
-
Experience with bench and system-level testing is a plus
-
DFT experience is a plus
-
Candidate has been responsible to drive silicon products into high-volume production with tier-1 customers
-
Experience with automotive products is a plus
-
Experience with embedded flash technology is a plus

Delivered test solutions in advanced CMOS process nodes

Proven debugging skills

Great team player, communicator, and collaborator

Role is based in Irvine and will require occasional travel to meet with customers and suppliers
