Signal Integrity Engineering Manager

Our Samtec Signal Integrity Group is seeking a Signal Integrity Engineering Manager to join the Samtec high speed design center in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.  The successful candidate will coordinate and direct project teams, ensuring that plans are rightfully achieved by competent and qualified resources.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing project objectives by reviewing project proposals; conferring with project/team leads.
• Implementing and enforcing best practice engineering methods within the group.
• Assisting project/team leads with determining project schedule; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements and determining priority.
• Maintaining project schedules for the overall group by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.

• Preparing group status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 8+ years of experience in engineering management.
• Experience in hands-on development, test and debug in any engineering discipline; signal integrity preferred.
• Experience with signal integrity simulation tools (HFSS, ADS, CST, Hyperlynx, etc.) preferred.
• Strong technical and verbal/written communication skills required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

• Bachelor’s Degree or greater in Physics/EE/EET or related field
