Job Description

The role will involve Development of the next generation Keysight platform and protocols. The role offers the candidate the opportunity to use some of the latest SW development tools and technologies and has exposure to the full development lifecycle from concept, through to design to implementation, integration, and delivery.

In general, candidate should have excellent programming background, experience of designing and develop software components that interface applications to wireless protocol stack. This role requires both wireless protocol knowledge and as well as software development skills.

  • Software Development in C#, C++ and Microsoft COM using MS Visual Studio in a multi-threaded environment
  • Acquire technical expertise of Keysight’s NR5G enabled test system.
  • Expert in object-oriented analysis, design patterns, development, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Understanding on .NET and COM frameworks
  • Understand Wireless signalling flows and ability to use that in tool development.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting issues, liaising with other Protocol Layer teams to identify issues.
  • Work within the software development methodology used in the team.
  • Technically liaise with customers to understand requirements, investigate complex issues, and negotiate solutions, providing engineering input.
  • Some travel might be required.

Essential Skills:

  • Previous software development experience in any of Programming language, C#, C++, C programming.
  • Object oriented design methodologies.
  • Practical experience with and knowledge of 5G(NR), 4G (LTE).
  • Practical experience with real time operating systems and toolsets.
  • Practical experience of debugging embedded software running in complex real-time software systems.
  • Experience with standard source code management and defect tracking tools.
  • Pro-active problem solver with the ability to work to tight timescales, resolving conflicting priorities and requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with internal and external customers.
  • Minimum 8 years of industry experience

Desirables:

  • NR5G Protocol Development experience
  • Previous experience of development work for wireless network simulators
