Senior Sales Engineer – Electronic Design IP

Be part of a global team of engineers as a senior member of the management team and an essential contributor to the company’s bottom line. Tasks involve management of sales channels plus day-to-day follow-up on sales leads throughout the sales cycle. All activities are self-directed, and a high work ethic ensures accountability. No account prospecting is required.
Responsibilities
- Management – Be a contributor in all aspects of running the company from financial decisions, product portfolio offerings, pricing, events, etc. The company takes input from all management as a team.
- Sales – identify activities that will lead to success within accounts. Sales management of accounts, whether directly or via distributors. Liaison with engineering for technical information.
- Sales Management – manage direct sales and reps and distributors
- Licensing – includes licensing discussions, NDAs, and capturing technical specifications.
- Project Management – Take ownership of product positioning and associated promotion as the product champion. Maintain competitive information and technical collateral. Communicate with development engineers. Remain current on the associated industries.
- Customer Support – Responsible for administration and closure of customer support issues as a member of the support team. Foster positive experiences with customers by providing constant and considerate communication related to issues.
Requirements
The successful candidate will feel comfortable discussing first level technical aspects of our products with all levels of management, from technical design engineers to CEOs. Working knowledge of the electrical semiconductor IC design process is required. Background as a Field Applications Engineer or technical Sales person in the electronic design world would be ideal.
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Background in electronic design for a minimum of 4 years.
- Sales experience is required, with a preference for sales management experience.
- Analysis of business trends and sales data is preferred but not required.
- Organizational skills will facilitate the administration of pre and post-sales action items.
- Strong communication skills and experience interacting with customers at all levels of management, product development engineers, partner companies and sales representatives. Presentation skills are required.
- Native English speaker preferred.
- US citizenship is preferred for US military account responsibility.
- Technical knowledge of the FPGA and ASIC design process and EDA tools is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
