Your job:

As our new Senior Program Manager (m/f/d) in Platform Technology Team, you will expect following challenging tasks and responsibilities:

The Senior Program Manager is a leadership role in which you will be responsible to manage one or several customers and their corresponding product(s) life-cycle within Platforms & Control (P&C) organization in Fab1. Within this function he/she has responsibility for cross-functional program planning and execution throughout the different phases of a product life cycle, which is crucial to GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ and our customers’ success.

The person in this position accomplishes program goals in the context of a cross-functional organization with people from several functional organizations involved, and is responsible to establish and maintain product families within the technology platform while satisfying customer requirements. He/she identifies, aligns and drives resolution of technical issues across multiple organizations.

The Senior Program Manager plans and manages the execution for product introduction, restart and manufacturing tasks. This includes the product preparation for ready to ramp and ready for production (RTR/RTP). The Senior Program Manager is responsible to lead the RTR/RTP (Ready to Ramp/ Ready for Production) execution. In volume production he ensures meeting product performance and yield targets within robust manufacturing process windows.

Customer PM is part of the Platform Program team which interacts with several GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ organizations (Design Enablement, Process Integration, Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Customer Engineering, Sales and Marketing, etc.).

To accomplish this job function this person:

  • takes responsibility for the success of Customer and their product line from pre-tapeout to prototyping to volume production
  • should familiarize with the technology integration flow, device offerings and related physics, overall tape-out to silicon workflow and other business processes to ensure streamlined customer communication
  • needs to organize and manage reporting (presentations, documents, etc) for customer meetings, follow-up on customer action items and be part of the customer communication channel (eg. via email, etc.)
  • ensures product route synchronization with baseline technology
  • ensures monitoring of  product inline and electrical parametric based on customer requirements
  • drives the RTR/RTP process for the product ramp, drives the product restart process
  • maintains and keeps the product up-to-date during volume production until EOL
  • tracks and drives resolution of product specific topics (e.g. design weaknesses, yield issues, etc.)
  • leads cross functional project teams for product related issues (eg. performance, leakage or yield topics)
  • identifies risks/problems and initiates actions to address them effectively through both verbal and written communication and escalates as required
  • provides weekly status reporting about the Customer engagement and product status within technical forums
  • ensures effective communication between all levels of the organization
  • identifies and drives process improvements together with the Platform Team
  • may need to travel to Customer site for presenting quarterly engineering/business review
  • support and mentor Junior PMs, ensure new Project management best practices and lessons learnt are communicated to the team

Your profile:

An engineer with a master degree in engineering is strongly preferred. The candidate must have several years of experience in technical roles within the semiconductor industry including at least five years of experience in technology integration and/or silicon manufacturing. Project Management certification (PMI PMP® or IPMA) and Customer management experience is a plus.
