The position is based in Besançon, in our premises within TEMIS Innovation.
The team, made up of around ten employees and originating from the company frec|n|sys acquired in 2017, specializes in the design, modeling, characterization and manufacturing of small series of elastic wave components.
His expertise is particularly involved in supporting the development of innovative substrates using piezoelectric materials. These substrates are currently used to manufacture elastic wave components such as radiofrequency band filters.
What does the job consist?
Reporting to the Design Manager, the Designer plays a key role in the creation and optimization of elastic wave devices.
The main missions are as follows:
- Design of elastic wave devices: Development of new devices while respecting current quality standards and conversion of designs into production files (GDS). Support to the Design Manager.
- Exploration of innovative concepts and designs: Investigation of new filter architectures and proposal of disruptive developments in interaction with the development teams.
- Monitoring development until compliance validation: Analysis of measurements compared to design results, establishment of the compliance matrix, and contribution to the continuous improvement of models.
- Technological monitoring and scientific communications: Proposal of patent filings, writing of scientific articles and participation in conferences to increase the scientific influence of the company.
The purpose of the job includes the development of models to understand the physical phenomena of RF materials and devices, as well as the design of associated devices and materials.
Requirements & qualifications
With a Master’s degree (Bac +5) in radio engineering or significant experience in a similar role, you have a solid understanding of wave physics, piezoelectricity, and electromagnetism. You are proficient in RF device manufacturing processes and simulation tools such as COMSOL, HFSS, or SciKit-RF, as well as scientific programming languages such as Python, C++, or Fortran.
Rigorous and curious, you enjoy solving complex problems and proposing innovative solutions. You are able to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
A strong interest in scientific communication, particularly through publications or conference presentations, will be a major asset. Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
