Job Description

Keysight Technologies in Germany is looking for an RF Package Design Engineer to support our R&D activities in RF design and complex PCB layout.

In this role, you will get the opportunity to work in a highly motivated team on the next generation measurement instruments.

The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge in RF design/mmWave technology. Having practical experience in complex PCB layout and electronics engineering is considered an advantage.

Candidates are expected to work onsite in Boeblingen at least 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • RF design and simulation of mmWave technology structures
  • Characterizing fabricated RF structures and optimizing performance through re-simulation
  • Incorporating RF structures into higher-level sub-assemblies and products, e.g. in RF package designs or PCB layouts
  • Technical lead of the full design path from first ideas to design, simulation, fabrication and test/characterization
  • Participating in meetings with colleagues to present and discuss results

Job Qualifications

 Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of work experience or master’s degree plus 2 years of work experience in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in RF design and simulation
  • Experience with circuit design and simulation tools (Keysight Advanced Design System and EMPro and/or CST)
  • Experience with CAD schematic and layout tools and design evaluation and qualification
  • Good communication and presentation skills and an approach to solve problems analytically
  • Ability to work in a multi-site, multi-cultural global team environment
  • Very good English written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD plus 2 years of work experience in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or related discipline
  • Knowledge about Mentor Graphics Schematics Editor and PCB Layout tools
  • PCB layout of highly complex designs, including RF design, high power/current circuits, high density placement/routings, FPGAs, ASICs, etc.
  • Experience in analog hardware design
  • German language skills (B2)
