About the Job:

The FieldFox firmware team is seeking a Software Engineering intern to join our team in Santa Rosa, CA this summer. You’ll bring your innovative ideas and skills to create software while partnering with industry leading engineers in electronic measurement. You will solve tough technical challenges and make an immediate impact.

About the Team:

We are an Agile team of software engineers, FPGA engineers, and hardware engineers that work together to create software that runs measurements on the FieldFox (https://www.keysight.com/us/en/products/network-analyzers/fieldfox-handheld-rf-microwave-analyzers.html) or on a PC for analysis and reporting.  You will have the opportunity to work with a cross-functional team that is focused on creating innovative products and values new ideas and new technologies.

Responsibilities:

You’ll utilize your software engineering skills to design, implement and release features on the PC or on the FieldFox.  You’ll work with the cross-functional team throughout this process to create software modules that delights our customers with innovation at the highest level of quality.  You’ll have the opportunity to use your innovation and skills to solve real customer problems and make an immediate impact!  Assignments will include the full software life cycle, including QA.

Required:

• Current student pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• Software development experience
• Experience in an Object Oriented Language such a C++, C#, Java
• Experience in UI/UX design or development
• Ability and desire to quickly learn new technologies
• Strong data analysis skills
• Strong communication skills

Desired:

• Experience with software source control
• Experience with software test and QA
• Experience with the Linux operating system

Keysight Internship Program Requirements

Candidates who wish to be considered must be enrolled in a accredited college/university as of September 2024. Applicants who have graduated before September 2024 will not be considered unless they are entering/applying to a MS or PHD program after graduating.

Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates who now or at any point in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B Visa status) may not be considered.

California Pay Range: $31.00 – $40.50

Based on experience, education and skills, most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the Salary Range listed above.
