Responsibilities include:
- Fully designing and develop complex parts or large assemblies for automotive applications.
- Analyzing issues related to automotive components.
- Applying understanding of full part and vehicle performance from OEM or end-user standpoint.
- Designing and developing plastic parts from cradle to grave.
- Participating in plastics part tooling.
- Designing and developing automotive components with slide, lifter, core/cavity, parting line, mold-flow, etc.
- Designing and developing metal parts, including those that involve stamping and welding.
- Participating in frequent communications with customers.
- Serving as “change ambassador” to track part changes.
- Developing and testing prototype parts.
- Troubleshooting problems/failures and recommending corrective actions.
Education/Experience Required:
- M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 12 mo. experience in the job offered.
Academic program or experience must have included:
- CATIA V5;
- DFMEA;
- DVP&R; and
- Product Engineering Process (PEP).
