The Project Controller is based in Oakville, ON. Reporting to the Contracts Administration Manager, the Project Controller will create and manage, with project accounting and controlling of multiple projects. The Project Controller will also be responsible for sales set up and entry into SAP, as well as, ensuring projects are executed in accordance with company guidelines.

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career.

As the Project Controller, your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating SD/Projects and controlling of multiple projects, and are executed in accordance with Siemens guidelines
  • Project set-up and entry into P40 system.
  • Issuing purchase orders to Affiliates and 3rd Party
  • Participating in Initial project review meetings.
  • Advising PMs on contract issues.
  • Daily collaboration with Project managers/BU Managers/Finance
  • Revenue recognition completion as per guidelines
  • Customer Billings/invoices and credit memos
  • GRIR reviews
  • Month-end close ensuring correct revenue recognition.
  • Ensuring all SD/project balances and transactions are reconciled and accurate., BU project reporting.
  • Reviewing and verifying appropriateness of project charges and initiates corrections as required.
  • Leading project close-out activities – OSIRIS updates
  • Additional CDV / Accessory Orders and Drop Shipments in SAP
  • Creating POs for Germany Drawings for PMs
  • Creating POs for License & Sales Promo Material – Fixed Assets requests
  • Providing Project Audit Support as required.

As a successful Project Controller you will have:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field
  • Finance qualification
  • Preferably previous knowledge of Siemens projects
  • Project management experience
  • Good knowledge of SAP Systems.
  • Strong analytical organizational communication and teamwork skills required
  • PMP certification an asset
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Good time management and a detail oriented personality
