Product Manager – Automotive

Job Description and Requirements

We’re seeking a dynamic Product Management leader to join our Advanced Platform Solutions group, where you’ll shape our EDA solutions to support dependable systems such as safety, security, and reliability. As part of our product management team, you’ll work with customers and industry partners in key verticals like automotive, aerospace and defense, and HPC to understand emerging technical requirements for design and verification in this space.

In this role, you’ll partner with our Functional Safety and Security technical team to bring our EDA technology to market and drive strategic differentiation. You’ll help define our go-to-market strategy and collaborate with other groups within Synopsys to leverage synergies across EDA, IPs, and other functions.

Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the strategic objectives and drive go-to-market, to grow business and market share
• Gather customer and market requirements, market shifts, and future trends
• Make a business case to define priorities and roadmap for the safety/security solutions
• Monitor the competition and craft collateral for the solution positioning, messaging and packaging
• Leverage products adjacencies and creates demand through campaigns, collateral, and events
• Create thought-leading marketing materials and content for inbound and outbound
• Train, motivate and guide the sales team to the safety and security business
• Develop and track the engagement pipeline and key milestones to meet the target goals
• Support the team interactions, processes and deliverables through program management
• Interface with auditors for tool qualifications and with ecosystem partners for collaborations

Requirements:

• 10+ years of related experience on safety/security applications
• BS or MS degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or similar
• Working experience of microelectronic design and verification flows
• Solid understanding of automotive systems and hands-on experience of Functional Safety and/or Security (e.g. ISO26262, IEC61508, ISO21434)
• Proven ability to work in a matrix environment, with good organizational skills and flexible mindset to interface with several initiatives involving cross-functional teams
• Passion to excel and win, and the desire to learn and explore new technologies
• Leadership credibility evidenced by operating at all levels of an organization
• High integrity with an open and participative approach to issues
• Ability to establish productive internal/external working relationships
• Good presentation and communication skills
