Principal Design Engineer

Today, Cadence Poland is looking for motivated engineers to join our Katowice team to develop IP for Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPI).

Cadence® IP for MIPI® is a family of controller and PHY solutions targeting a wide range of applications in the mobile, IoT, automotive, and industrial market segments. We offer a complete set of IP for cameras, displays, audio, and connectivity in multiple process nodes, enabling to build competitive SoC designs.

Skills and Experience

• Expertise in Interface protocols, such as Storage, MIPI, Ethernet
• Hands-on design and debug experience focused on Interface controllers implementation
• Experience with implementation and verification of the Interface controllers
• Good knowledge of hardware and verification languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL, System Verilog)
• Experience with solving challenges related to customer applications.
• Expertise in Architecture and RTL design
• Strong understanding of the Interface controller architectures, and standards including Storage, MIPI and Ethernet an advantage
• Implementation with exposure to simulation/emulation/static-formal methods.
• Working knowledge of various verification concepts such as Verification architecture, coverage, checkers, test plan, etc.
• Debugging and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Verification and PHY teams
• Collaborate with Program Manager (planning and effort estimations for design tasks)
• Collaborate with Validation teams (validation strategy,  Product certifications)
• Collaborate with Field team (pre-sales support, technical presentations)
• Contribute to extended teams and ability to work flexibility across different geographies.
• Participation / contribution to the Interface controller working groups developing new standards
