PFE internship – Analysis of the variability of defectivity on the polishing of semiconductor materials

After a first stage of immersion in our clean rooms, you will study our various polishing equipment in more depth, allowing you to acquire in-depth knowledge of our manufacturing processes via a first part of the internship focused on data analysis.

In order to guarantee the quality of our products, your mission will be to compensate for the variability of defects between our different polishing stages. Accompanied by 3 engineers, you will be in contact with other stages of production of our semiconductors including the metrology team.

During a second, more test-oriented part, you implement a DOE (Design of Experiments) to test and confirm the identified avenues in order to improve the production process. You will be in contact with technicians and maintenance engineers.

Finally, once the improvements have been confirmed, you will contribute to the implementation of the changes by collaborating with the teams and implementing the new procedures.

At the final engineering school, you are looking for a final project to validate your diploma. You have an orientation and an appetite in the field of materials, microelectronics or physics-chemistry.

You like working with several people; interpersonal skills are one of your strong points and allow you to seek information from different people. You will be one of the driving forces behind the research and implementation of the project; you are able to work independently.

You are interested in the industrial environment and are curious to discover the different stages of semiconductor production.
