What You’ll Do

  • Partner with our third-party vendor to ensure all employee/employer taxes are processed timely and accurately
  • Establish processes to ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations occur
  • Coordinate with UK Finance team to lead the administration of the employee share portal for employees.
  • Provide support to the Controller on accounting and strategic finance assignments for month-end close.
  • Establish processes to ensure employee state wages are moved/processed timely
  • Collect, analyze, audit and validate payroll data for new hires, departures, and transfers, including deductions and the administration of benefits.
  • Manage and file the Canadian sales tax (GST/HST, PST) and coordinate with sales tax advisory for filing requirements
  • Ensure that internal controls and audit trails are in place for all payroll processes
  • Assist in the administration of our employee stock option and restrictive stock plans
  • Coordinate with our payroll/equity/HRIS systems and People team to ensure proper data management of systems and transfer of payroll data
  • Responsible for all year-end payroll requirements, including but not limited to the reconciliation of taxable benefits, T2200’s, T4’s and T4A’s
  • Assist with corporate income tax preparation, SR&ED submission, and other regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring process documentation and on-line plan descriptions are up to date and in line with the stock incentive policies
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certificate or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) (completed or in progress) considered an asset
