MG – AMS – Application Engineer

Job Responsibility:

The Sr. Field Applications Engineer will help customers understand, evaluate, and successfully deploy Mentor AFS Platform in their existing analog and RF design environment. The successful candidate will combine technical depth in circuit simulation and/or RF simulation, applications knowledge (e.g., transceivers, RFIC, high-speed I/O, and signal conditioning), customer interface skills, and the ability to work effectively with sales and R&D. Responsibilities will include technical assessment and qualification, running evaluations, training, tool adoption, and support.

Job Duties:

1. Serve as the primary technical interface to assigned customers

2. Work with sales meet or exceed the territory sales quota and objectives

3. Perform effective technical assessments and qualification

4. Develop and successfully execute customer-specific technical engagements

5. Deliver very high technical win rate across all engagements

6. Provide marketing and R&D input on tool requirements

7. Ensure successful customer adoption through training and integration assistance

8. Provide timely, accurate technical field reports

9. Develop outstanding customer relationships based on delivering exceptional value

Job Qualifications

1. More than 5 years engineering experience in related field

2. Track record of exceptional customer relationships

3. Thorough understanding of analog and/or RF design

4. Proven ability to map simulator capabilities to application-specific requirements

5. Work effectively with sales, marketing, and R&D

6. Strong oral and written communication skills

7. Excellent organizational and time management skills

8. BSEE or equivalent, MSEE or equivalent preferred
