Position Overview
As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for the building and assembling LRV and coach floors, you will support a broad range of activities in a dynamic, high energy production environment in the flooring department of the best rail vehicles in the world!
What you will be doing:
- Must be able to follow installation, bills of instructions such us assembly drawings materials, SDS etc.
- Meet company standards for quality and workmanship and follow all safety requirements.
- Safely use hand and power tools and use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to lift heavy materials and to work from a kneeling, crouching or bent over position frequently.
- Come to work with reliable and positive attitude and contribute to maintain conditions that ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety requirements, including use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Contribute to and maintain conditions that ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
What you need to be successful:
- High school education or GED.
- Basic English skills – ability to read and understand written instructions and effectively communicate verbally.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of mechanical principals and the ability to comprehend technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Hand Tool Proficiency.
- Tools safely.
- Attention to detail: ability to work with precision and pay attention to small details to ensure accurate assembly and alignment of components.
- Safety awareness: Adherence to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
We would be impressed if you have:
- Basic understanding of metric system measurements.
- Previous experience in the assembly of large, complex capital equipment, or in an industrial setting.

- Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
