Who We’re Looking For:
Are you passionate about supporting employees during important moments in their lives while navigating the complexities of leave and absence programs with expertise and empathy? As a Leave of Absence Specialist, you will help ensure an employee experience by managing and administer leave, return-to-work, worker’s compensation, and ADA programs with, compassion, and compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to become an important team member of our HR department, making a meaningful impact on our employees’ well-being and work-life balance. The Leave of Absence Specialist in our fast-paced 24×7 manufacturing environment while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This is an exempt level position. You will work onsite within the Human Resources team. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm, though additional or flexible hours may meet our needs.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Leave program administration: coordinate all types of leave of absence, respond to employee inquiries and needs, communicate with management, and partner with other partners such as the Health and Safety team, onsite Physical Therapist and Payroll.
- ADA Accommodation program administration: work with employees and supervisors to navigate through the ADA interactive process.
- Train managers and supervisors to ensure that policies are applied properly.
- Engage with important internal and external partners.
- Maintain employee health records.
- Other assignments as required.
Requirements:
- BS or BA degree in Human Resources or equivalent degree required.
- At least 3 years’ experience with leave administration programs and knowledge of applicable state/federal regulations.
- Proficiency in the administration of FMLA is a requirement.
- CPDM or comparable certification .
- Must demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and adapt seamlessly to the dynamic demands of a 24/7 manufacturing environment
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required.
- Ability to manage difficult conversations and situations in a sensitive manner.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
- Experience using an HRIS such as SAP is desirable.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods, primarily while working at a desk, with occasional movement around the facility.
- Frequent use of a computer, which involves looking at screens for extended durations.
- Frequent coordinated use of hands.
- Occasionally required to carry items weighing up to 5-10 pounds
Personal Attributes:
Successful candidates will need to be able to work and communicate amiably with engineering, customers, and business partners in a hi-tech, fast-paced, quick-changing work environment. Must be self-motivated and able to make process flow improvements and enhancements. Must have excellent time management skills and be a team player.

To be eligible for employment at TSMC, candidates must successfully pass a background check and a drug screening. Please note, in compliance with Washington state regulations, the drug screen will not test for cannabis (marijuana) use.
Work Location & Schedule:
This position operates on-site at our Camas, Washington location during core business hours, Mon-Friday shift 8AM to 5PM carrying a cell phone to provide off-hour and weekend on-call support as needed.

Pay Transparency & Other Compensation:
At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $78,000.00 and $85,753.00 per year. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $78,000.00 – $93,550.00 depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC’s total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.
* This position is also eligible for a Sign-On Bonus depending on various factors.
* This position is also eligible for a Relocation Bonus depending on various factors.
