As Product Engineer you are responsible for working with key customers and capturing requirements to drive the development of Cadence’ next generation multi-chip module design and packaging solution with a focus on high frequency circuits. You will work cross-functionally with Product Marketing and R&D teams to deliver best-in-class products for our customers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of an advanced packaging and RF Systems design flow
  • Work closely with customers to understand their requirements for high frequency multi-chip module design, implementation and analysis flows
  • Generate demos and Rapid Adoption Kits (RAKs) to allow the sales team to market our products. Deliver demos and trainings as needed.
  • Generate Product Requirement Specifications (PRS) and interface with R&D team to drive product development
  • Provide technical presentations at customer meetings and trade shows
  • Debug tool issues, provide workarounds, and file bug reports and enhancement requests
  • Partner with Product Validation teams to ensure proper validation and provide regression testing
  • Work with technical publication to ensure proper and easy to read documentation. Highlight new features that are of interest to customers

Job Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience preferred.
    However, this position is open for New College Graduates with the right experience and passion to learn and work with cutting edge design techniques
  • Some background in high frequency / RF / mmWave design practices
  • Experience with using industry-standard Virtuoso platform for circuit design (Virtuoso Analog Design Environment) and layout design tools (Virtuoso Layout Suite)
  • Familiarity with the SKILL programming language and experience with scripting using SKILL and other comparable scripting languages (e.g TCL, Perl, CSH etc.)
  • Experience with modern packaging techniques including familiarity with Allegro Package Designer or similar tools desired, but not required
  • Experience with AWR Microwave Office for mmWave design or similar tools preferred, but not required

Additional Skills/Preferences:                         

  • Excellent communication and customer interaction skills
  • Highly motivated to solve technical problems
