IT Intern

Requirements

• BS student or BS degree / MS Student preferably in IT, programming computer applications, or other appropriate engineering area,
• no working experience is required,
• knowledge of hardware and software documentation, utilities, and scripting languages.
• Good inter-personal and communication skills.
• ability to understand written communications in English (good knowledge of verbal English is a plus);
• ability to work under pressure

Definition

• Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Providing technical support to students and other authorized users
• Laptops. workstations, servers and printers maintenance and installation;
• Windows/Linux administration and troubleshooting; installation and maintenance Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian, Centos, Gentoo), Windows operating systems
• UNIX/Linux/Windows commands and administration, scripting shell, Perl and awk
• Utilities like kickstart, Patch installs, upgrades, all services start/stop through command line, installation of EDA tools.
• Windows, Linux image creating
• Testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and updating software on computers
• Network troubleshooting
• Performing other similar/related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
