What You Will Do

We are a looking for a part-time paralegal to join our in-house legal team who will apply a pragmatic, creative, and thoughtful approach negotiating customer contracts.  As a member of this close-knit team, highly collaborative team, you will be encouraged to take projects from start to completion, while aligning with Altair’s policies and coordinating with internal stakeholders worldwide.

This position will be located in Leamington with hybrid working arrangement.

Job Scope

  • Assist with the drafting and negotiation of legal and business aspects of agreements, including consulting agreements, professional services agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and terms relating to the outbound licensing of Altair’s software .
  • Create and maintain standard agreement templates.
  • Assist in other projects for the Legal department, including support of improvements for contract process and management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s law degree or business administration
  • 1-3 years of experience in a corporate setting drafting and negotiating commercial agreements
  • Ability to work and communicate well in an international, multi-layered organization with a global team while providing pragmatic, business-oriented assistance and problem solving.
  • Knowledge of other languages (French, German, Spanish) would be an advantage
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond promptly to shifting priorities
  • Respectful and highly collaborative, but with ability to work independently
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in an international company
  • Experience with data privacy, GDPR, or other global privacy laws is a plus
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK
