We are looking for a Software Developer specializing in IBM iSeries development and modernization with PHP, who is a team player with the desire to pursue a career helping customers adopt and drive value from their solutions. Zend Server is an enterprise PHP development platform that delivers leading tools and services for creating and managing web and mobile applications. It offers real-time debugging and monitoring, plus long-term PHP support.


  • Work on 32bit ZendServer on IBMi
  • Refactor SAVF installer for ZendServer on IBMi
  • Work on 64bit Zendserver on IBMi
  • Continuously improve RPM installer for Zend Server on IBMi
  • Continuously improve ZendPHP RPM installer on IBMi
  • Continuously develop, maintain and improve IBMi native library
  • Continuously improve packaging setup for both ZendServer and ZendPHP on IBMi


  • 5 years experience with C development
  • Readiness to look into and research RPG
  • Hands on IBMi knowledge
  • Experience with jobs, subsystems, job queues, job resource maintenance on IBMi OS
  • Experience in LPAR maintenance and configuration.

Good to have: 

  • Knowledge of AIX runtime pase environment
  • Experience with git usage on IBMi preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with HMC console is ideal
  • Knowledge and experience with setting up environments on IBM cloud a plus
  • Knowledge of pitfalls of testing software on IBMi a plus
