Intern – Fall 2020 – Design Methodology

In this position the intern will work alongside the Digital Design Enablement and Methodology team in the Technology Enablement organization at GLOBALFOUNDRIES. The job scope includes creating and implementing methodologies/infrastructure that improve the efficiency of design flows. This internship will be located at our office in Santa Clara, California.

Essential Responsibilities:

Developing database and infrastructure to enhance design methodology techniques
Supporting an automation system to provide timing/power/aging derates
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

Engineer in Computer Science, Electronics/Computer Engineering, preferably on MS/PhD track
Experience in Front End design(JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and design and development of database
Proficiency in Python programming with strong fundamentals in software development, and algorithms.
Excellent technical problem solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of physical design flows and methodologies including synthesis, place and route, STA, and power analysis.
Advanced coursework or hands-on working knowledge of ML/DL algorithms and frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch.
