Reporting to the VP & Global Head of Communications,, the US Corporate Communications Manager, Northeast is responsible for managing public relations and employee communications for GF’s Northeast US sites including Fab 8 in Malta, NY, Fab 9 in Burlington, VT, and limited communications activities at Fab 10 in East Fishkill, NY. The position is based in Malta, NY, and will require travel spending at least 5 days per month in Burlington, VT

The incumbent will partner with the site GMs, leadership teams, HR, Legal, GR, and Global Communications to develop and execute  high-impact internal and external communications campaigns in support of corporate and site objectives. The US Corporate Communications Manager will manage a team of one, and leverage site HR and site admin teams to support local events.

Key responsibilities:

Manage internal and external communications strategies, plans, content, and execution for GF’s Fabs 8, 9, and 10
Oversee and deliver strategic communications for internal and external audiences that support and promote the Fabs, in alignment with corporate goals and messaging
Executive communications: Partner closely with the fab executive leadership teams to develop messages and communications strategies that support site objectives and the overall corporate brand
Internal communications: Develop proactive communications messaging, recommendations and plans to increase employee engagement and promote productivity
External communications: Develop and execute proactive PR plans to promote GF in the local community

Internal:

Executive comms support for Fab GMs including developing messages, talking points, presentations, blogs/vlogs
Partner with HR on developing communications strategies and content for key change management, employees comms and employee branding initiatives
Build and manage editorial content for site employee communications tools including intranet and digital displays as well as develop new tools/channels
Develop Fab-related content for GlobalConnect employee intranet
Build and manage community programs for GlobalGives, GF’s corporate social responsibility program
Comms support for site town halls and manager meetings
Partner with Fab leadership to create presentations for quarterly corporate all hands meetings,  GlobalCast
Employee event management, including holiday parties and summer events

External:

Act as corporate spokesperson for the Fabs, partnering with site leadership to develop external messages and regional media placements, manage media relations, provide crisis communications strategies and execution, develop and maintain regional business community relationships, including Chambers of Commerce,
Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with regional media and industry influencers
Develop a wide range of communications content, such as keynote presentations, press releases, blog posts, talking points, Q&As, and media statements, as appropriate
Collaborate with Corporate PR team to provide support for local corporate issues
Manage local social media program in collaboration with Corporate PR team

Required Experience:

7+ years strategic communications experience including both internal and external communications
BA/BS in communications, business or engineering or related field
Willing and able to Travel up to 20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience executing successfully in a fast-paced, high-volume, high demand communications environment, such as a global corporation, government entity or PR agency
Experience working with senior executives to set communications objectives, strategy and message development is required
Media relations and crisis communications experience
Understanding of employee engagement, employee experience, change management, and HR programming, and experience in developing results-oriented internal communications strategies and content
Experience managing multiple priorities
A strong team player able to work in a matrixed environment
