This role is accountable for establishing, executing and maintaining the Infrastructure vision and strategy to ensure that physical and digital information assets and technologies are adequately maintained and remain operational. The infrastructure leader will guide the development, implementation, and support The ideal candidate can facilitate constructive actions globally across US, EU and APAC. The criteria for success is strong governance, organized methodology and strong execution.

The purpose is to transform infrastructure to improve GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ efficiency, drive a much improved cost structure and business value creation, drastically improve capabilities in analytics leveraging cloud services and deliver on a multi-year program that will position GF to use technology to enable the digital business strategy for the organization and drive positive/measurable business impact.

Candidate will have significant interactions with senior leadership, requiring executive presence and strong communication, project management and analytical skills
Accountable for the managing global infrastructure across all regions
Drive a global team of regional managers, technical leads and engineering, and end user services to deliver on all approved transformation initiatives
Responsible for development of the global data center operations plan.
Responsible for the recruiting, training and career management of the global Infrastructure teams.
Ensure that the budgets for the Infrastructure Services are properly planned and managed.
Assists the Senior Director Infrastructure to develop appropriate policies of IT governance for the funding and development of the global Infrastructure Services.
Develops and maintains Infrastructure Services policies and practices and ensures that proper world-wide standards are maintained in the administration of approved policies.
Responsible for organizing teams for the ongoing evaluation, testing of emerging technologies that apply to Infrastructure Services for the world-wide operations.
Works with group and division IT management to plan for the effective deployment of Infrastructure Services globally.
Identifies the need and initiates the recommendation for new or enhanced Infrastructure technologies, services or resources required to support business.
Develop and rehearse the disaster recovery plan.
Negotiates company-wide contractual agreements with primary IT product and service providers, which are often global, multi-year and multi-million in scope.
Partner strategically and tactically with various business stakeholders and IT centers of excellence to drive program outcome.

Education

BS in Information Technology, and/or 10+ years of experience
Certifications or equivalent job experience within Information Technology
Strong program management training & certifications

Experience

10+ years of managing global team
Experience in the semiconductor industry and manufacturing environments
Essential communication skills for effective stakeholder management
Experience in global operations
Demonstrated background in financial management within program delivery
Global delivery of large multi-million and multi-year programs
Semiconductor experience
Strong technical background in traditional IT
Strong experience managing organizational change management
Ability to develop comprehensive communication plans
Experience working with all levels within an organization
