Overview

We are seeking a firmware/software development intern to join our dynamic development team located in Loveland, CO during the summer of 2023.  This job will be part of the Automotive and Energy Solutions (AES) Group within the Electronic Industrial Solutions group of Keysight Technologies.  You’ll learn how to apply your engineering knowledge and further develop your engineering skills in software design and development to solve real-world problems related to automotive and energy applications.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a firmware/software development intern to join our dynamic development team located in Loveland, CO during the summer of 2023.  This job will be part of the Automotive and Energy Solutions (AES) Group within the Electronic Industrial Solutions group of Keysight Technologies.  You’ll learn how to apply your engineering knowledge and further develop your engineering skills in software design and development to solve real-world problems related to automotive and energy applications.

Primary Duties

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications and/or embedded firmware products.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance existing test procedures and automated regression systems as needed to support on-going development, improve test coverage, and adapt to infrastructure changes.
  • Provide technical support for other teams by troubleshooting, reproducing, and isolating defects/issues encountered internally or externally.
  • Participate in design and code reviews with other team members.
  • Create and deliver a custom presentation at the end of your internship summarizing your experiences.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge and development experience with C/C++/C#.
  • Knowledge of modern object-oriented design methodologies, Agile development processes and tools.
  • The ability to work in a team and across geographic boundaries.
  • Demonstrate passion for learning and seek development opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired:

  • Desire to work closely with hardware, ability to understand schematics and circuit diagrams.
  • Experience with automation and programming test and measurement equipment.

Keysight Internship Program Requirements

Candidates who wish to be considered must be currently enrolled in a accredited college/university as of September 2023. Applicants who have graduated before September 2023 will not be considered unless they are starting a MS or PHD program after graduating.

Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates who require sponsorship in the future including those on CPT or OPT may not be considered for this position.
