As a Fire/Life Safety Systems & Service Technician, you will:
- Assist with the commissioning of new fire and life safety systems on construction ensuring seamless integration
- Assist with testing and inspecting of existing fire and life safety systems
- Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader
- Complete commissioning within planned timelines
- Submit accurate time and expense logs
- Work overtime when needed
- Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements
- Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality
- Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material
- Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards
- Work alongside mentors, Lead Technicians, and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven electro-mechanical aptitude (based on previous experience and/or education) and user PC/software skill; proficient in Microsoft Office
- Understanding of network components and workstation and server operating system management
- Be able to work in a variety of environments in and around electronic equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; differentiate types/colors of wire, carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 1 within 18 months
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred
- 6+ months experience installing commercial fire/life safety equipment
- NICET II Fire Alarm or FA2 preferred
- Ability to read/understand design and construction documents

- The pay range for this position is $40,880 – $70,080. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
