Financial Services Data Analyst

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our Reporting and Data Analytics – RDA team at SFS Commercial Finance Americas to continue our journey to help our stakeholders and business make data driven decision using the latest technologies i.e., artificial intelligence, business intelligence solutions and predictive analytics.

You will have a strong background in statistics, mathematics, and computer science, as well as experience working in the financial services industry. The primary responsibility of the Data Scientist will be to develop analytical reports, predictive models and data-driven insights to support our business decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Collecting requirements and communicate findings to stakeholders through visualizations, reports, and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop insights and recommendations that drive business growth.
• Develop predictive models to identify trends and patterns in large data sets related to finance and leasing.
• Analyze and interpret data using statistical techniques and tools such as SQL, Python, R etc.
• Conduct data cleaning, transformation, and preprocessing to prepare data for analysis.
• Develop and implement statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and other data analysis techniques to solve complex business problems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data science and financial services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering.; prefer master’s degree
• 3 years of experience as a Data Scientist/Data Analyst.
• Experience with financial data visualization tools such as Knime, Tableau or Power BI.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and R.
• Experience in working with Snowflake or Azure Synapse or AWS Redshift cloud data warehouse.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
