Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries Fab10 is seeking a Cleans process engineer in East Fishkill, NY. This role requires ownership of Cleans processes, and a working knowledge of semiconductor equipment used in the Cleans Module. Candidate will be responsible for robust manufacturing Cleans processes and procedures to meet high performance and low defect targets. Candidate must be a team player with a strong passion to learn quickly.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

• Monitor, control, and qualify state of the art 300mm Cleans semiconductor equipment and processes
• Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost
• Review Statistical Process Control charts for process quality and react to Out of Control conditions including defect troubleshooting
• Drive continuous improvement projects to lower cost and increase yield
• Drive structured problem solving to understand root cause of scrap events, and implement solutions to prevent recurrences
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to meet performance, yield and reliability targets
• Communicate effectively with multiple organizations including manufacturing, maintenance, integration and management
• Strong team member, able to work well with a global team
• Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

• Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Semiconductor Manufacturing or a related discipline
• Experience:  Years of Experience – 0-2 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering or Material Science
• Course work in semiconductor or integrated chip manufacturing
• Proficient in data analysis, SPC and DOE
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
