Job Description and Requirements

Join our growing Security IP team as an intern where you will work with full-time team members to grow your skills in design and development of hardware and system security components. Specific tasks will be based on the applicant’s skills and aptitudes.

The successful candidate will be enrolled on a part-time or full-time basis at an accredited college/university program and have completed at least 2nd year (or equivalent) in EE, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science.

Desired Skills and Aptitudes:

  • HDL development in Verilog.
  • Hardware development flow, hardware emulation and related tools (such as simulation and synthesis tools).
  • Embedded software development skills in C using GNU tools such as gcc, make, and gdb.
  • Ability to work in a structured hardware development environment working on specifications and coding.
  • Ability to work in a mixed hardware/software development team.
  • Practical knowledge of ASIC design process in RTL level.
  • System level knowledge, such as SoC integration, system bus architectures and interconnects.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and security protocols (e.g., SHA, AES, ECC, TLS).
  • Scripting languages such as bash and/or python.

The hourly range across the U.S. for this role is between $24.00 to $48.05. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
